Electronics Technician
Join NanoInk, Inc., a privately-funded emerging growth technology company, specializing in nanometer-scale manufacturing and applications development for the life sciences and semiconductor industries. We are expanding our Electronics Engineering department and need a talented Electronics Technician to round out our team. NanoInk is located in the new Illinois Science + Technology Park, in Skokie, Illinois, just north of Chicago. Our location is convenient to public transportation with free on-site parking. Requirements:
An Associates Degree in electronics or other technical discipline. Minimum 5 years electronic assembly and component level troubleshooting and repair experience.
Professional Skills:
- Good interpersonal skills, technical capabilities and professionalism.
- Able to perform electronic operations such as soldering, wire stripping and cable/connector assembly.
- Ability to run wiring and light mechanical assembly abilities.
- Skilled at interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, and following detailed assembly, test and calibration procedures.
- Capable of using calipers, micrometers, meters, oscilloscopes and other precision measurement devices.
- Able to perform limited manual mechanical operations such as drilling, cutting, sanding, etc.
- Skilled at calibrating assembled products by making adjustments and recording performance data.
- Computer software skills including use of Microsoft operating system and Office applications.
Primary Responsibilites:
- Perform electronic and mechanical assembly in support of Electronics Engineering department.
- Component selection and part ordering from specifications.
- Tool maintenance and purchasing.
- Wiring and circuit board troubleshooting from schematics.
- Some documentation creation.
- PCB entry (optional).
- Schematic entry (optional).
